Prof Pier Luigi Nimis (UNITS), Peter Schalk (ETI) and Dr. Gregor Hagedorn (JKI) are invited to give talks on the KeyToNature project and its new tools for the interactive identification of organism developed by the project.

The event "Systematics 2009" and the 1st meeting of Biosyst EU are going to take place from 11 July to 14 August 2009. Systematics 2009 is a joint meeting of the various systematic societies of Europe. The event is articulated in Symposia, Workshops and Contributed papers sessions.

  • On 11 August at 14.00 Dr. G. Hagedorn,in the framework of Systematics 2009, is organizing a workshop entitled "Creating taxon pages and identification keys on a Wiki."
  • On 13 August 2009 during the Symposium entitled: "Application of information technology in systematics" (Conveners: Dr. Valéry Malécot, Président de la Société Française de Systématique, and Dr. Régine Vignes, EDIT WP6 Leader) the following papers will be presented by the KeyToNature Consortium:
  • On Friday 14 August 2009 at 15.00 Dr. P. Schalk presented: "KeyToNature: A European pool of shared resources for the identification of species" in a session dedicated to large-scale projects in biodiversity research (including EDIT and SYNTHESIS). (Slides of Talk as PDF)
