PROSIT: The Researchers' Night in Trieste

PROSIT: FOR YOUR THIRST FOR SCIENCE!
On 25 September in Trieste will take place the European event called Researchers' Night 2009: PROSIT-Project for Science in Trieste.
Exhibitions, performances, experiments and games to learn all about the world of research and science and its protagonists.
The initiative, financed by the FP7 Marie Curie Programme of the European Commission, takes place simultaneously in 40 European sites, including 7 Italian cities. In Trieste, an intense programme of outreaching activities starts from 16.30 to 23.30 in the scenario of Piazza Unità d'Italia and its surroundings. The long Researchers’ Night will be an opportunity to meet the players in the world of research in Trieste and to share moments of fun with team games, debates, music and entertainment.
PROSIT is an event jointly organized by thirteen institutions in Trieste, inder the Patronage of the President of the Republic.
Discover public green with a mobile phone
KeyToNature will be actively present at the Researchers’ Night with a stand showcasing the large number of interactive guides to plants, lichens and mosses of the Karst generated by the project and freely available on the Internet.
The UNITS Team is going to organize several public demonstrations of KeyToNature identification tools. The demonstration booth will offer to participants a first-hand look at the latest developments in Biodiversity Informatics.
In the stand of Piazza Unità, it will be possible to identify different plants using PCs connected to the Internet, or you can join the walk in the garden of Piazza Hortis, where, you will discover and learn the names of the plants growing there, with the assistance of several Researchers and by using hand-held devices.
