Description: Tree 6-8m with crown broader than tall. Thorns 1.5-2cm long. Leaves alternate, 4-8cm, ovate, tapering at tip and base, margins entire towards the base but toothed towards the tip, glossy and hairless above, whitish with tufts of hairs in the vein angles beneath. Flowers 15mm diameter, 5-petalled, creamy white, on greyish hairy stalks in clusters. Styles 2. Fruits fleshy, 15mm long, globular, bright red or orange red; seeds 2.

Comments:Produces bright autumn colours of orange and red.
